Pre-reading thoughts:

I signed up to participate in the Queen of Chaos blog tour. It is, however, the third book in the series which meant that I had to pick up the first two books in order to understand the book and participate in the blog tour. The covers of these books are just gorgeous. I was sent this by Xpresso Book Tours, and in no way has receiving this book affected my opinion on it. This is an honest review. 

Writing Thoughts:

It took me a whole to get into the writing of this book. The book is slow paced in the beginning and the sentence for some reason also felt heavier to read. But as I progressed through the book, it just got faster and sentences felt lighter to read. Kat Ross has a very unique writing style and I don’t know how to describe it but I belief a majority of people will enjoy her books. This was definitely unexpected.

The structure of her story was incredibly interesting as well. It chapter ended on a climax type of point, some of which resulted in a cliffhanger, and with this format the book kept picking up speed towards the actual climax of the book. It was just done really well and I think Kat Ross deserves a lot of credit here

Plot Thoughts:

This book was incredible. You think things are going to go one way but then they go another way. I don’t want to say too much about this part because I definitely know I will give something away. Just know that it is worth the purchase and that I highly recommend it. 

Character Thoughts:

Nazafareen started off as a one dimensional character, having only a few interesting things about her. But as the story progress, we see Nazafareen progressing. She is constantly progressing and developing. She is this family orientated person who cares deeply for the people she considers family. She is brave and logical, analyzing every detail and deciding a viable outcome. Nazafareen used to be this quite person who follows orders but after she gets her daeva things definitely start to change. Change is also anther thing that Nazafareen doesn’t like all too much. 

Final Thoughts:

Oh. my. gosh. This book was so good. I did not expect to enjoy this as much as I have. I am so in love with this book that I have decided that I am going to buy the paperbacks of this series as soon as I can. I just need this book. I was constantly sitting on the edge of my seat. And at the end I was so close to crying…
