Book Review:
Pre-reading Thoughts:

I am so ready to jump into this book. After hearing Ben talk about this book, I knew that I had to sign up for the opportunity. It just seemed like something that I couldn't ignore. It was fate I swear. I am so excited for this book because I absolutely adore reading books about witches and vampires (it is my not-so-secret secret guilty pleasure).

Thank you so much to Oftomes Publishing and Bare Naked Words for this opportunity! I am grateful for a copy of the books! Just a quick note; I have received this book at no costs of my own in exchange for an honest review. With that ebbing said, please note that in no way has receiving this book affected may opinions. All thoughts are my own.

Writing Thoughts:

There was a lot of information that was being dumped on us in the beginning and I have to be honest and say that it was really off putting. I seemed to struggle to get a grasp of the story because of that. Nothing really stuck and I found myself going wait what? When did this happen or were we supposed to know this. Most of the time I found myself going a page back to just double check where I was. I also found myself skipping over paragraphs because this. There was also a lot of repetition. The author kept re-informing us of information we knew from reading a couple of pages ago. It kinda got to me.

Plot Thoughts:

Luckily, the plot was easy enough to follow. I really enjoyed this aspect of the novel. It was interesting and just kept pushing me through the writing. The plot was good enough for me to keep going because I sat on the edge of my toes waiting and wanting more. There was a twist that I didn't see at all. It just kinda slapped me in the face and was like HELLOOOOOO. It was good.

Character Thoughts:

I have to be honest and say that I didn't really fully connect with the characters. There were moments where I totally got them and got invested in the story but then suddenly it was like I was on the outs. It was definitely an interesting experience.

Final Thoughts:

Overall, I thought that the plot is the aspect that really carried this book. It was interesting and in some aspects unique. It was the one thing that pushed me through the writing style. And to some degree I was thankful as it ended up being a rewarding situation. Would I continue this series? I have no idea. I was kinda let down by this book but not majorly so. I think that if I were to continue the series, I would have to reread this book first. Thank you so much to Oftomes Publishing and Bare Naked Words for sending me a copy of this book! I may not have loved it as I had hoped but it was still a fun read!
